Play Together requires an active connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular to test which works.
If you see a "Connection lost" banner, tap Reconnect to re-establish the live link.
The organizer's device drives the game state. Ask them to close and reopen the active game screen.
Close 9 of Diamonds fully from the app switcher and reopen it. Your game is always saved automatically.
MLB data is only available once the game has started. A "No live feed" message before first pitch is normal.
Check the active game's team matchup. Custom or demo teams do not have live MLB data.
Use the Manual Mode toggle in the game header to record outs yourself whenever the live feed is unavailable.
This is by design! All 9 cards are re-distributed every half-inning, so your card changes each time.
With fewer than 9 players, one random card is placed out of play each half. If it gets the out, the pot carries forward.
If cards appear frozen after a reconnect, end the current half-inning — the next deal will be completely fresh.
Tap the ✕ in the top-left of the active game screen. Only the organizer can end a Play Together game.
If the home team is winning, use "Skip Bot 9th" on the current inning card to wrap up cleanly.
All 18 half-innings must be closed or skipped before the game auto-ends. Look for dotted cells in the scoreboard.
Go to iPhone Settings → 9 of Diamonds → Notifications and make sure "Allow Notifications" is on.
Go to Settings → General → Background App Refresh and enable it for 9 of Diamonds so game-day alerts schedule properly.
Notifications are scheduled when the app is opened. A quick launch the morning of a game day ensures all alerts are set.
